Not to mention the loan that the Gov gave me for the school doesn't cover my tuition for the whole 2 years. =(

Good luck to you, hope everything works out for you.. hopefully you don't go through what i have gone through with them.

Good luck!

If you don't mind me asking how much did you calculate you would have to pay out of pocket?

Ah ok so you would have to pay the 1373 just for one semester aka every 8 weeks at a time flat?

Has anyone had issues transfering chamberlain credits to another state university?

What are you thoughts on chamberlain..

I graduated in 2010 from the RN-BSN completion program.

Yes. I was accepted into the University of South Alabama and several other state and private school graduate programs. It was no problem. I loved Chamberlain and felt completely prepared for graduate school.

Hello,I am a BSN graduate from chamberlain. I was overall... Ok... With the school. But I will caution you against spending 70k on a BSN- nursing is very over saturated and if you are financing your education the 1000/month student loan payment almost isn't worth it. As far as transferring- it should transfer fine. Most schools only care that you got a BSN, they may require additional biochem or physics but that's generally unavoidble but that's ok because most schools require 2minimum years of critical care experience to apply. Again- school is mediocre but the debt... Wow. 23.00 and hour minus taxes and student loan- that's only 1400 a month, and that's IF you are fortunate enough to get a job.

Thank you sarah for your advice; Yes its a lot of money, not to mention the student loans that I was going to get for the school was not going to be enough to cover the whole 2 school years.. I had to get another loan out in order to start, which to me it was wow! a lot of money.. thats why I decided to just try to get into one of the state university for the nursing program.

Good for you. I do have to say, now that I have graduated, I immensely regret going to a private school. Please spread the word, unless parents are paying for college- don't put yourself that far in debt for a BSN :) good luck to you :)
