Has anyone attended or is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta? If so, how is it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am currently attending a technical college and have done all of my pre requisites except for the sciences. My gpa is 3.40. I just found out about this school and I am very interested... thanks.

Hi,

The Atlanta campus is just opening. I will be transfering there in June from the Arlington VA campus. This school is no joke. It is hard once you get into Fundamental, Health Assessment, and Patho all together. It is very fast pace. The are 8 wk sessions. It goes so fast that sometimes I wonder if I am retaining all the info. Be ready to work your butt off. Kiss your social life goodbye. I hardly have time to go to dinner with my family. I am not trying to discourage you but I want you to know the real deal. Good luck

Thank you Sonja. Actually this is not discouraging at all. Hard work is expected. I don't have a social life anyway lol.

I attended the campus and I must say I was in AHH at the new technology. I am excited about finishing my goal. I am not stressing too much on the financial aid , being this will be my second BS degree. Its about how bad you want it!

The process is a bit aggravating , but that is personal for me. The entrance exam was not too bad but I suggest you have taken pre-req's , because its on the test. To be considered, they look at your reading and math score first!

Looking forward to being part of the first graduating class of Chamberlain College of Nursing- Atlanta Campus---------CCN2014

Hello all of those who want to attend Chamberlain. For math, focus on porportions and ratios. This is big for dosage calculations. I would recommend getting a dosage calulations nurses book to look at. This is not only for the entrance exam but all for when ur in. They do not have a dosage class but you will have to know this.

Good luck

Sonja

I love it! Nursing is my calling. I use to be in the corporate world but never truly loved. I stayed for the money. Now I am going to fulfill my passion. It is hard work and it takes all ur time. It is very hard to work and go to school. I know some student that had to go to part time due to the work load.

I'm applying to the BSN program starting April 30th. I took the HESI exam today and passed! Just waiting for further info from admissions.
