im trying to get in for january at the jacksonville campus. im stressing over these conversions for the HESI. I have a review book but it doesnt give much practice for conversions so I just had to print out a crap load of worksheets. I'm so nervous to take this test on the 10th.

I used some worksheets from mathmaster.org. It allows you to generate the type of conversion you want to study. It's really just like how many pints are in a liter, etc.... You just plug in the numbers they give you. I would do math section first if it's your weakest area. The reading section is rudimentary, pretty straight forward. For grammar you will correct misspelled words, sentence fragment such as comma splice, dependent and independent clause, and which word doesn't belong in sentence etc... Vocabulary most of them came from the study guide, but some are not.

You can go to you tube and watch videos on the metric conversions. That's what helped me. I you tube everything.

As soon as you get ready to take your test, on your scratch sheet paper write down your metric conversions and formulas for your percentages. That's what helped me. Make sure you study the vocabulary words. Those words that are in the study guide are the same words on the test. Hope this help you. I know you will do fine. Good luck to you.

@ Teah After getting your drug and background tested. How long does it take for them to make you schedule?? Also, I typed in chaimberlain.edu/my next steps, but nothing came up. How will I review everything on the checklist?

You will receive a call from student services setting up a time for you to come and set you with your classes. As far as your next steps, I will see exactly how I did it when I get home this evening. I will message you my number and you can call me after 8pm.

Thank you ladies for all the support and encouragement on this test seeing as how I have been freaking out. Doesn't make things better that I had to push my test date back a week to accommodate work. But, thanks for everything! I will be sure to keep you guys posted on if I get in for the January start date. :)

Trust me you would pass and make it.. people here directed me on what to study and how to work out conversion problems.. i scored an 80 without even purchasing the book, used links online to study. 80 percent was way beyond the passing score.. Keep studying and i know you would do well. Good luck @ slangley09
