I just went to visit Chamberlin (addison) last week. I was a little shocked to find out how easy it would be to get in the place.

All you need is your pre-req's and the $$$ No waiting list!

and no cut off! They want as many students as possible. They were ready to sign me up for the BSN program that start's in March 2009!!

So it's a piece of cake! I'm still a little unsure. They were a little to quick about wanting me to sign up. Sometimes I feel if it's to easy..there has to be a catch. I may be wrong though. Good Luck!:nurse:

I was thinking the same thing. It seems too easy. Is it because they are a new school and want to attract students? Or are they just no good? I think maybe it will be my backup in case I can't get in anywhere else :) Anyone else have any comments?

Just give them a call..you might have to wait a few day's for a call back. Set up an appointment with a advisor. He or she will let you know everything you need to know. :D

I just got accepted at Chamberlain for their on site BSN (not the RN-BSN) program in St. Louis, MO. They do have Prereqs, but you can take them there. Its an accelerated program, so if you have no previous college, its a 3year program. I would suggest that you take the prereqs at a community college. It costs too much money to do general ed there.

For the regular BSN they require A&P I and II, Psych, Sociology, English, College Algebra, Chemistry, Microbiology, History, Macro Economics, Stats, History, etc.

I hope this helps. I'm just starting so my info is limited to the "getting in" portion.

This link might work, it gives you an idea of what classes are required for the BSN.

I wanted to jump in on this conversation as well- I was completely in doubt about this school and still am a little bit- but only because it seems to easy. I've already been accepted & am waiting for financial reasons, but they have been great about keeping in contact with me, answering any questions, etc. They say they have no pre-reqs because they want to address the national shortage of nurses faster. I have a friend already in the program that loves it.

I can't see a whole lot wrong with the school, but would appreciate any continued information on the school- any previous or current students!

Hello all,

I have an interview with an advisor coming up next week, may I ask what they took into consideration and what types of questions the advisor asked? What about overall GPA? Do all of you have a decent one? They also told me I needed to take a A2 entrance test. I have read over alot of the materials on the school and it seems to offer just as much as every other school but is on the expesive side, over $6,500 per semester and there are 9 total!

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY FEEDBACK

They look at your GPA & what will transfer in, I think your GPA only needs to be 2.7 to be considered. I have no idea what the A2 entrance test is, I had to take a test that was basically just a writing essay- super easy and I did it from home. Unless it is something different, I wouldn't even say that it is an interview, because I was accepted to the school without an "interview" though I did meet with the advisor just to learn about the school- his name was Josh Ryan, he was a great admissions guy.

I have a question- people keep saying the school is expensive but I find it comparable to most other nursing schools (with the exception of UIC).. West Suburban is more expensive, Loyola, Rush, etc.... can anyone comment on this?
