Chaimberlain Miramar

Published

Hello everyone!! I've been reading different threads on this website for a few months and decided to join all of you. Currently I've been looking into new Nursing programs in Dade and Broward counties. There is a new school that just opened in Miramar, Florida. (Chaimberlain College of Nursing and they have a 3 yr BSN program). Because I've completed some Pre-reqs the program will only be 2 yrs for me. After meeting with a counselor and touring the school I believe this school would be great for me. The one thing I'm scared is that its a new school and tuition is pretty pricey.

Is there anyone else looking into this school??? I would really like to meet other people who are interested in the same school.

Hope to hear from someone soon.

Hello and welcome to the site!

I moved your thread to the FL Nursing Programs Discussion forum. Hopefully some FL folks will offer some information.

Good luck.

I am currently at Chamberlain in Chicago, IL. I am thinking of moving to FL and transferring to Miramar location. Does it seem like people are attending there? Is it filling up? I was a little nervous that their program would not fill up.

hi csfaus87.. i did attend thier open house a few weeks ago. the set up is excellent and the staff is wonderful. they are ready to answer any questions. i believe the first class starts october 24. there were a few students that applied on the spot at the open house. not sure how the sim lab is at the chicago campus but this one is awesome. chamberlain also has another school opening at the location. its called ross university for med student. the great thing about that, is there are going to set up simulations with the nursing and med student. i decided not to attend right now, because i'm currently taking care of my 11mth old son. didnt think i would be able to do school at such a fast pace right now. i wish you the best of luck. keep me posted if you do transfer.

I appreciate your feedback about the school. I am going to fly down to go look at it. I was wondering if you could tell me anything about the area of miramar? I was not planning on moving to that area, but I have not heard great things about it. I couldnt imagine it could be that bad to just attend school at, but wanted to get your opinion. Thanks again for the input!

Hi Everyone...I recently called Chamberlain University for information about their requirements for getting into the Miramar location. The counselor seemed very warm and offered alot of information. Has anyone taken the Hesi exam at the school? The counselor told me the next semester begins Feb 27, 2012, so I would like to prepare myself for this entrance date. Would love to get some feedback from any students...

Hey everyone ;) ,

I just got accepted there and it seems to like a lot of people are applying! It's a great school and don't let that it's a new school bother you because one of the student who graduated was guaranteed a job already. It was a very rapid process and was very professional.

The only thing was that it was a bit pricey but when I compared it to the other schools I applied to it was about the same. They were all pricey.

Don't be afraid to visit. One visit and they will tell you and even show you everything you need to know. They also answered all my questions. The advisors are very friendly and keeps up with their prospective students.

Be blessed!

how is the nursing schedule at chamberlain miramar campus. I already applied and schedule for my hesi, just wondering how is the program and schedule in general please.

I am also thinking of chamberlain miramar. As for the schedule it seems to b awesome land reasonable. I met with a advisor on Tuesday and I'm ganna start in jan. my only thing is that they are not sacs accredited.... Which I'm currently making sure that, that won't mess me up for my arnp degree at nova. Classes start the end of oct. and jan 9th I'm finishing up more core classes that are completely transferable from keiser like micro and Chem with lab, so I will only have 2 years instead of the full 3.

Actually is the same thing for me , i will complete only 2 years instead of 3. Since i have completed my AA from Broward College. ALso the first class start in oct 29th , and i think the other one is in March. Do they have one in January as you mentioned?

For the Accreditation i actually called the CCNE agency and chamberlain is accredited by them, also i have notice schools of nursing like FAU, NOVA, palm beach state , ect..are also accredited by CCNE, so im not sure if they dont have SACS is a problem.

If you dont mind me asking, hows the HESI exam, im planning to take it next Wednesday? and also could you please remind me how the schedule will be, remember the advisor told Mon-Fri from 9-4, not sure.
