I was wondering what kind of ICU background those that are already in or have gone through a CRNA program have? I know a lot of schools will not take PICU, but other than that, does it make a difference (MICU, SICU, etc.)?

CVICU or a combined ICU that has a high acuity rate plus a large number of patients. A person can enhance their experience by working at a teaching hospital. Yes, their are people that work in NICU and go on to be great CRNA's but they may need to spend extra time reviewing swan material. Hope this helps!
