head start!!

  1. Hi everybody! I am a new member as of last night. This site seems very helpful so far. It is nice to talk and share information with others that are in the same boat. I am very excited to start nurse anesthesia school in the fall at St.Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh. I was wondering if anybody had any advice on any pocket references or books that might help me out.

Just go with the books you get in school, if their program director is anything like mine they will require every interesting anesthesia book out there.

Starting early may not be of much benefit, they will teach you what you need to know when you get there. But, if you are determined to get a head start (I was too) call your program director and find out which of the books they require would be a good one to read over the summer. That way you don't waste money on a book you won't use when you are in school.
