I'm currently an undergrad at LSU; recently changing my major to pursue nursing en route to become a CRNA. The department head said the average GPA is around a 3.5, but that it's derived from nursing core classes only. Is this the same case for any of you(students)? Also, I'm concerned with the job opportunities. I know that there is currently a big CRNA shortage, but will this be the situation in about 5 years when I'm finishing up all the requirements and ready to step into the work force?
