Certified Medical Examiner

Published

Hi all,

I will be taking the Certified Medical Examiner exam in a week. I took the course and have been preparing for it. For those who have taken the exam was it difficult or pretty straight forward? Did you do practice questions prior to taking the exam?

Thanks! This exam is needed for my job, therefore, I am *a little* nervous about it. Any suggestions/advice are welcome!!

Oh, it's a DOT examiner, lol.

I was thinking pathology, autopsy, etc.

so we have to pay to take a test to do the same thing we do on a daily basis?

sounds like a money sham.

Which is why we need our own certification rackets like Xeno and ADHDNP-BC.

Yes! The way to strike paydirt is to become an authority within a niche...a guru. Then, create info products (i.e. seminars, certs, books, videos, apps, coaching programs, etc) around your niche. Vickie Milazzo, is a good example, who did this with legal nurse consulting business opportunity. Bob Bly wrote s good book on guru creation with his book a few years ago called Becoming An Authority In Your Field or something of that sort. Great read.

Thank you very much!

I found the exam pretty straight forward and did well on it. I took the online course and then studied the review materials for about 4-6 hours before taking the test. I did make a "cheat sheet" with some of the memorization things like BP parameters, audiology results, etc. I think the practice questions that were included in my review course were most helpful. Best of luck.
