Cdn Nurse taking US NCLEX

Published

Hey guys,

I am a Canadian educated nurse who will be taking the US NCLEX. I recently was unsuccessful in my Canadian nursing exam and feel pretty bummed out. Trying to get out of this hole and now focus on the NCLEX. Need some advice from fellow NCLEX takers. I currently enrolled in the HURST Review (online only) and I have watched all the lectures and filled out the worksheets. Havent started with questions yet. I also have the Kaplan Strategies book as well as PDA book that I have not went through yet. I am planning to take the NCLEX in the beginning of February.

Just wondering if the resources I have are sufficient for the NCLEX. I am hoping to pass this the first time and move on with my nursing career. Failing the Canadian exam has been very hard on me.

Also a canuck grad here and yes i failed crne 2X, anyhow the resources you have sound good to me. I will be attempting nclex for the 3x in a few days.

Good luck on your exam!!!!!

let me know how it goes

are you writing it in Canada or the US?

did you write the maximum amount of takes in canada and that was the reason why you wrote in the states??

Specializes in Geriatrics.

The Canadian Nursing Association adopted the NCLEX in January of 2015, which is the same exam one would take in the US. I was licensed in Ontario and wrote the NCLEX...and would be eligible to work south of border if I wanted :)
