CCRN / Laura Gasparis

I went to a CCRN Review over the weekend and we watched the 2 Day Laura Gasparis CCRN Review Seminar. We didn't have handouts so I tried my best to take some notes but I know I missed a lot.

Does anyone have any of the slides used in the lecture?

I thought about buying the DVD for myself but it's about $150 :o

You can possibly also find more, but they may be in east asian websites that don't recognize western copyright laws. Just do a google search and look down the pages, when you find stuff that looks like chinese, have google translate it for you. It may not be great translation but enough for you to play the video. Be aware also that when western copyright holders find these sites, they request internet providers to block access to them, so each time you want to view them, you may need to insitute a new search.

I'm re-listening to the Laura Gasparis CCRN review. Does anyone remember the part about a nurse always copying other nurses' charting? Could anyone help me with what section this is in? I can't find it! Thank you!

Hello,

anyone who passed CCRN test, using the Laura Gasparis's DVD, and want to sell it to me, or have any notes. Please PM me. thanks

I realize that the CCRN is more comprehensive, but just as an aside, I passed the PCCN with 83% only using the resources provided by the AACN. No DVD's, no expensive reviews. Their resources are pretty good, so if you have a good amount of experience and a good foundation, don't spend too much money. My PCCN score was exactly the same as my SAE (self assessment provided by the AACN online) score, despite the SAE only having 50 (or 60?) questions.

Good luck!

I would definitely recommend the Laura Gasparis review DVDs (it comes with a copy of the slides & provides you with a test that you can send in and get 12 contact hours as well). Plus if you haven't already, purchase the PASS CCRN book (the one that includes the code to do the practice questions). It is spot on with rationales that allows you instant answers as to why a certain answer should be chosen over others).

I don't have the slides, but bought the DVDs. They're so worth it! She's amazing...and Carol Rauen (sp?) is great as well!
