Hello
I'm new here and I've been accepted to CCM Pre-Professional Phase of the nursing program. I currently attend PCCC and have only 2 per reqs left. But I have to take a algebra placement test because at PCCC I failed the math placement test and had to take remedial math classes : ( I just wanted to know if it's worth it to give CCM shot? Thank you!!
P.S
I'm trying to leave PCCC because I'm having a tough time taking the TEAS test and so far 2 advisors have told me I should give up nursing and do something else.

Well I used to live around there. Pccc is better than ccm. How are you preparing for the TEAS?

First of all, you don't fail the accuplacer. It simply tells you where you are currently with math and algebra. I took 2 remedial algebra classes before I could take college algebra and it was the best thing I ever did. The Teas is the same no matter what college you go to. You have not done so well twice? Is there a time limit and limit on how many tries you get to take it? If you are not doing well on the Teas why would you be opposed to taking the remedial classes?
All the Teas does is test you on basic fundamentals with math, english, reading, and writing. If you can't meet the min standards you need to retake your prereqs. The Teas tells the nursing program if you are ready for the nursing program which you are not. Suck it up and take the remedial classes you need.
Sorry, I meant to put science in there also.
