i am a new grad rn. i had an interview with a home health agency for a case management position. it went very well. i amschedule dfor a second interview. just wondering what a ball park figure salar is for a case manager. so if you will...name your state/area, starting salary for new grad rn case manager

$32-42/hr in California, i've heard.

I haven't been a Case Manager for 10 years, but in California it used to be required to have a number of years experience as a R.N., before becoming a Case Manager (because you are working independently ,and are the team leader).

I am a new grad in nyc. this particular agency that i am interested in prides themselves on not only having a good training program but also having resources available to you becuase you are not in the feild but at a desk and therefore have many co-workers to draw from if need be.

i will be starting as a case manager in november first! not much of clinical experience though, just home health for a few months. anyway, i will be receiving 20/hour from a home health company in itasca, illinois. prior to that, i went to an interview for another home health company but it's in lincolnwood, illinois and they were offering me 28/hour. i just chose the 20/hour due to its proximity to where i live.

i dont know what the hourly break down is but my starting salary is a little over 70K yearly

I am a new grad and I am having trouble finding a job, esp without any experience. I have found a few non-clinical positions (Case management, Nurse Reviewer) that will hire new grads. My question is, will starting my career in non-clinical positions hurt my career or slow it down since I will not be practicing my hands on/patient care skills?
