I have worked as a field case manager for a case management company that handles workers' compensation claims for the last 3 years. I have my CCM license and I am thinking about branching out and becoming an independent contractor. It is a very scary decision and I would love any advice from someone that has done it! Do you think it is worth it working as an independent contractor versus working for a case management or insurance company? I love the idea of being in control of how many referrals I handle at a time. Is it hard to find work as an independent contractor? Do you ever get vacation time? Any other tips or tricks? Thank you!!
