To my knowledge, only RN's do this. And we will co sign their work. LPN's make assessments q day, which on the out side world of nursing, LPN's are not allowed to make assessments, which is a stupid thing. I know LPN's that can do this just as well as RN. While I did home care for years, the RN was responsible for making the assessments, and if the patient required more than 1 visit a week, I had to co sign their nursing progress notes. If the patient only had an order for one nursing visit a week, only a RN could make that visit. Tex
