Cardiac Tele to Postpartum Unit

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has made the switch from an adult cardiac tele unit to a postpartum unit.

After a little over a year I decided to try postpartum cause I feel myself drawn more to obgyn/pediatric patients than to the adult population i was working with.

Any insight is helpful! The floor I will be working on takes 3 couplets per RN on days. On the Tele floor we would take up to 7 on days if working with an LPN, if not then up to 4.

Thank you!

I would expect quick turnover ...lots of admits and lots of discharges. That's just from what I've seen in school, though ...I've never actually worked on a postpartum unit.
