Trinity Mother Frances - Tyler, TX

Specialties Cardiac

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone here has any first hand experience working at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas or their Louis, Peaches and Owen Heart Hospital? I've lately begun researching their facility and services and am considering applying for a job there to work in a focused cardiac setting which is where my growing interest is being found. If anyone has any information regarding this place, I'd be most appreciative. I'm wondering things like, 1. What is it like to work for them? 2. What is the work environment like (i.e. staff, administration, etc.), 3. General feel of the health system there as compared to other hospitals (i.e. is it a hospital that fosters an atmosphere of camaraderie and teamwork vs. clique-laden, high school drama, alpha-nurse dominance issues), 4. Is the experience accrued there something that would have left you feeling as if you gained something positive vs. experienced something negative? and 5. (although this isn't really a huge factor, but is a factor nonetheless) was pay scale satisfactory given the specialty in question and at the institution of topic? I don't know anyone who has worked there or is currently working there. I live about a 1.5 hours outside of Tyler, TX and am just looking at options. Any advice would be helpful, thanks to all in advance!

Tyler - small town East Texas where "new money" rules and racism is still rampant but no one talks about it. If you are fine with that, then the hospital is like any other hospital -- the heel clackers run the show, occasional change of guard in regards to mid level managers, typical hospital stuff. I grew up there and have family who have worked at TMF for 30+ years. There is a reason I live in the DFW area, lol. I don't want my kids thinking the world is lilly white and everyone else is inferior just because of $$ or race.
