I am a May 2022 graduate and I was recently offered positions on a CVICU and a cardiac step down unit at the same hospital, which is a level 1 teaching hospital. My BSN program does not have a critical care rotation, but there is a chance that I will be assigned an ICU for my leadership rotation. I am willing to go the extra mile to do everything to feel adequate for the ICU, but there is also hesitancy due to learning all of the new nursing skills on top of all of the critical care skills. What is everyone’s opinion of my situation?
