Cape Cod Community LPN to RN program

Published

hello everyone.

i am a LPN student on the south shore and will be graduating in July and taking my boards soon after... i am interested in attending CCCC for their LPN to RN program...does anyone know when that program starts and things that you need to get in and how competitive it is?? any information would be helpful....i have heard that the waiting lists on the south shore are just too long and you need one years experience thanks!:nurse: :nurse: :balloons:

Hi:

I have been accpeted into the RN program at 4C's. I have a friend who is an LPN and who is currently in the transition program. I have heard there is a long "waiting" list but I was also told I probably wouldn't be accepted the first time around. Who knows.... My advise to you would be to contact 4C's and ask. The Admissions Director is very up front and helpful. Good luck to you!

I agree that you should definitely call and ask. They also have a list of prereq. that you have to have completed if you enter into the transition program. So I would at least start on those, because that could take you a year if you haven't already started some of your prereq. You can look online in 4cs and it should tell you what they are. Basically, anyone who is already done with their prereq and has a good GPA stands the best chance.

Good luck.

Although I don't think these are prereq. for entry into the program. They are prereq before the NUR130 course.

Successful completion of all of the following courses is required prior to NUR 130:

  • ENL 101 English Composition I
  • PSY 101 General Psychology
  • BIO 107 Anatomy & Physiology I
  • BIO 108 Anatomy & Physiology II
  • PSY 223 Developmental Psychology
  • NUR 100 Pharmacology Calculations
  • COM 103 Oral Communications or ENL 102 English Composition I
