Hello guys, 2 weeks ago I accepted an offer from baylor st lukes, But it seems that my HR recruiter is not familiar about TN process. I was a bit dis appointed that I have to explain that im outside US. She sent me lab request that could only be done in US, when I told them that im in canada, She asks me When are you coming to texas. I said, usually I need an Original TN visa application aside from my offer letter. When I applied in NY through staffing agency, everything was smooth and I've learned how it works from that process. Any canadian nurses who experienced this? How did you dealt with it.?

Hi. I'm not working in Texas but before applying as direct hire for my new employer in Aug, I asked if they hire Canadians for TN status. My primary HR recruiter was not familiar with TN status processing but said yes to my question. Moving on, I got my offer letter and she referred me to their Immigration specialist which in turn worked with their lawyer to prepare the "support/employer letter" which I used at the border to get a new i94 for TN status.
Some hospitals are not familiar but I assume they should have immigration specialist or lawyer which works with any of their international employees to get their sponsorship/visas. For my current job, the previous recruiter straighforward referred me to their lawyer.
Some hospitals I inquired before didn't do sponsorship of any kind.
But I had read some individuals who were used to working with TN drafted the "support/employer letter" and have the HR signed it.

Good Morning Everyone,
I want to enroll in an Accelerated BSN Nursing Program. Are there any programs throughout the United States that accept GPAs of a 2.5 or better? Also, if there are any of these schools out there, ARE THEY ACCREDITED? My cumulative GPA is around a 3.6, and my prerequisite GPA is around a 3.2.
I'm only asking this question because I know for a fact that I'm competing against students who have extremely high cumulative and prerequisite GPAs. If I go to a school that accepts a lower GPA, I'll have a better shot of getting into that program.
Nursing is a field that I'm really interested in because I love giving back to something greater than myself. Also, with COVID on the rise, I know it's my mission to step up to the plate.
Thank you and stay safe during this pandemic.

Not in Texas but in NH. Sorry, I forgot to mention it's a different State. I'm currently employed in ME.

Yes, in New Hampshire as direct hire in ICU. I applied directly to the hospital.
