The NCLEX-RN is now being utilized in Canadian provinces (except Montreal) as of January 2015

Specializes in Pedi.

Does that mean it will be easier for me to endorse my license to Canada in the event that I have to move following the 2016 election? ;)

Specializes in Nephrology, Cardiology, ER, ICU.

Will move this to the Canadian Forum.

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

Not unless you applied to College of Nurses in Ontario before September 2014, they may require you to repeat the NCLEX! Most provinces (except Montreal, almost a country unto itself) follow CNO's lead. But you have an advantage as BScN is entry to practice for RN in Canada plus you are highly specialized as a pediatric oncology nurse. So good luck in 2016!!!

Just to clarify, most of the provinces are retroactively accepting NCLEX passers back to 1982. The western and atlantic provinces do not follow CNO's lead, the provinces each had their own vote in the decision to use NNAS and NCLEX and they are each making their own provincial level decsions. I think CNO accepting only NCLEX passers who applied before Sept 2014 will change, as the limited, application time frame, cannot be justified from a public safety perspective. Montreal is a city in the province of Quebec.

@zxjchristina, what did you use to study for the NCLEX?

Shoot I missed that. I had so many dealings with Montreal & St Laurent in my last job that I foolishly group Montreal and Quebec as one. Mea culpa. I know better. Shouldn't post half asleep.
