RPN - Humber or Seneca

World Canada CA Programs

Published

Hi, im new here and its my first time posting, not sure if its the right place. I just need help from people with first hand experience. Im 19 years old male and just recently found a great interest in helping people, more importantly nursing.

Im applied to Humber and Seneca for RpN for September, im just wondering if anyone could share their experiences at these schools for the program.

Ive heard many good things about Humber, and have a friend who is about to graduate and truly loved it.

Regarding the admission test for Humber, when did you guys take it?

I've slacked off on it due to personal life issues.

The program says its already closed, is there any chance of me getting in?

The closest i can book it is on the Feb 13, ;(.

So im just wondering if any1 ever did the testing late, and still got in, if so when.

Thank you in advance.

If the admissions are closed you will have to wait.

I have heard good things about both programs. No matter what schools you are talking about you will find people that loved and one and hate the other and vice versa. Unless you have attended both programs there is no way to really know. Both schools are well respected and both programs will prepare you adequately to write the CPRNE. All schools in Canada have to meet the same high standards so you won't really find any programs that are better than others, just different.

What do you mean by wait? Like wait for next year September? or wait for people to decline and open up some space?

I get that they all meet the same standards, but i've heard that employers hire students from colleges over others, is this true?

Also, if anyone can share their experience with their programs in their schools, that would be great :)

No employers don't care where you went. All they care about is whether or not you have your license.

Is it admissions that is closed? Or was there a deadline for writing the HOAE? If you need to write it then you won't be admitted to the program until you have passed it.

Posts have been moved to the Canadian Nursing Programs forum since our neighbors to the north will be more equipped to answer this type of query. Good luck to you!
