I am asking this b.c my friend is a few months away from graduating and is applying for some jobs out of state. She had an interview coming up in Arizona, but we are not in Arizona. Instead of waiting until she gets there to take the NCLEX, or taking ours then having it changed to an AZ one, is it possible to take the Arizona NCLEX here (in another state)? Thanks

You can sit the exam in any test center anywhere in the world that dispenses the NCLEX as long as they have a valid ATT and eligibility to sit the exam

She should have an idea where she will be working for her first job and apply for initial licensure in that state. So, if she wants to work in Arizona, she can apply for an Arizona license. After the initial license is granted, it is a matter of endorsing the license to any other state she wants to move to. And she can take the NCLEX where she wants, have the results sent to the state she is getting that first license from. Most people get their first license from the state where they live out of convenience.
