:heartbeat:nurse: Hello Everyone :heartbeat:p
I am new this site, but so far find it very interesting! I was curious if anyone has had to deal with trying to get their tuition fees reimbursed if they were failed where harrassment, humiliation, and unfair treatment occurred by one of the instructors? Is it even possible? I was in an LPN program at a vo-tech school in Florida. I have a meeting with the school director next week. What kind of backup should I take with me to help my case? There are numerous students who feel the same way but are scared speaking up may cause them to fail also. Thank You!!

The best backup is the attorney you consult to deal with this.

If the instructor is harassing you, I would first talk to the course leader or someone who is higher up than her. I do agree that the way an instructor teaches can impact your grades, but on the topic of harassment/humiliation, it really depends on what you define harassment as... Have you talked to the teacher at all regarding this? Maybe she does not intend to be that harsh on her students. A lot of my classes and instructors are tough, but they need to be.
If you speak to her first, and nothing is done/makes matters worse, then continue to go up the ladder. There is no way she can fail you for addressing your opinion.. How are your grades in your other classes?
I dont know if I should say without getting trouble? I will tell you that it is not the one in Lakeland?
Roger that - I have lots and lots of documentation, I am just more worried about the my word against her word thing. I am going to view her personnel file with the school board to see if there have been others. thank you
