I posted this question before but have not got any real answer. I already filed both I-140 and I -485 and have EAD. I just want to know if I'm stuck with my current employer who petitioned for me for GC till I actually receive my GC which can take years or can I get another RN job with another employer once both the I-140 and I-485 have been approved even though I don't yet have the GC because of retrogression.

Do you actually have approval on the I-140? You will not normally get approval on the I-485 until there is a visa available for you.

And when did you get approval on the I-140?

The laws here state that once you have had approval on the I-140 for at least 180 days, then you may get another employer willing to take over your account, but that is the only time that one may do it and only if going thru AOS. Those that are going thru Consular Processing may not change employers without having to get a new PD issued to them.
