Hi to everyone. I have a big problem. Is there someone who had the same experienced or situation case like mine. Please let me know. Urgent!I want to take my NCLEX-RN here in Penssylvania. The thing is that I'm not a board passer. I failed my Board of Nursing exam in overseas. I called the State Board of Nursing. But the guy said that to be eligible I need to have licensed in other state or in the foreign country. And then I can take the NCLEX-RN. And the same in New York too. Why it's so harsh! I know every state is different but I don't need to take refresher course. All I need is that I can take my NCLEX-RN here in Pennsylvania. Where should I send a letter or email for my situation. Please help me.I'm so devastated about what happened. Thank you so much for the help. Be safe to all and God bless everyone!

Consider applying to another state and once passed NCLEX look at endorsing to Pennsylvania
Hi there . Have a great day! Thank you so much for taking noticed of my post! Anyway, I still don't know what to do. It's so stressful. All I just want to take a chance to pass this NCLEX-RN here in Pennsylvania. Some say that if I will take to other state I need to get a residency and showed water bills, electric bills and get a driver licensed. Should I go to CGFNS or just go back overseas and take the NCLEX-RN AND PASS and go back here in U.S to get NCLEX-RN for requirements in Pennsylvania? Thank you again for the help.Be safe and Godbless.
You do not need to be a resident in a state to take NCLEX. You need to meet state requirements which may involve CGFNS. Are you in the US already? What status do you hold? Once you have passed NCLEX for another state you can endorse to Pennsylvania
Hi again to everyone. Thanks for the respond. I know every state is different. I'm American Citizen. And I'm from Pennsylvania. There is another state I can go like Florida but it's gonna be expensive moving there. I'm emailed the State Board of Nursing in Pennsylvania and waiting for the reply. I know I'm not the only one who have this kind situation.
Like I said you do not need to live in a state to meet their requirements and sit NCLEX. Just apply to the state, ie Florida, meet their requirements and sit NCLEX. Once you have passed and have a license you just need to complete application for Pennsylvania for endorsing license and if everything is OK you will get a license and can work

You would have to be a resident of Florida in order to obtain a multi state license. You can also chose to apply for a single state license (valid in Florida only).
You may not even need to take a physical trip to Florida in order to apply for the license. (not sure but they require that you present in person to obtain fingerprints in order to complete your background check). Once they issue you an ATT you can then sit your exam at any testing center you wish, including any in Pennsylvania.
Once you pass the exam and receive your license information then you could then apply for license by reciprocity in Pennsylvania .
Best of luck.
Thank you for the replied.I really appreciate the help. Hopefully everything will be good. Be safe and Godbless.
