Can someone give me a little advice?? LONG!!

Hey Guys, This is my fisrt post, although I have been a lurker for sometime now. I just graduated with my BSN on August 1st, and will be taking my boards in the next week or two. About a month before I graduated, I applied for a job at a small, local hospital. I went and interviewed, liked the people, liked the area (not far from home, safe, etc). They offerend me the job, I thought about it, and took it. I felt very good about it, and looked forward to it everyday.

Well, I graduated and a week later I began orientation and went to the floor for the first time (Med/Surge). I am SO disappointed!! The hospital is about 4 years behind on technology, looks run down due to it's age, doesn't have a good reputation in the community, etc.

I know that this is my own fault, being that I should have done more research and visited the hospital more. I guess looking back I was just glad to have recived an offer, and took the first one I got. I only have my temporary license, and this was only my 5th day, but I HATE it! Should I bite the bullet and stay? Leave while I am only in orientation? How will they take it? How will future employers look at it? I'm terrified that I will dread going to work for the rest of my career...

Anyone been in a similar situation? I had other job offers after I took this position...so I know there are other jobs out there, but do not want to appear snobby, ungrateful, or like I just don't care. HELP!

Give it more time...at least finish your orientation...if your thoughts about it don't change, you should go somewhere else. Don't make yourself miserable :) good luck!!!!
