Hello. I am new to this forum. I graduated with my BSN in 2003. I made the mistake of not going straight into acute care. I started out in a dementia unit, and have worked in adolescent psych and adult psych. In between these brief jobs, I have moved a couple of times, and have chosen to be a stay at home mom. Right now I am employed per diem with a LTC facility. I cannot find a job in an acute care setting. I am willing to relocate just about anywhere, and am currently submitting my resume all over the country. I am living in Colorado now, and have been told that this area (northern CO), is very saturated with nurses. I need a job, and am ready to get back into nursing full-time. Any suggestions? Cities that I might have an easier time getting into a hospital? Thank you so much for reading this!

Are you talking acute psych care or any hospital job? There is s need for nurses where I am. Though again I am not sure if you want any hospital job (medical) or want psych again. Feel free to check out the hospitals web pages
http://www.urmc.rochester.edu/careers/ for Strong Memorial Hospital
http://www.unityhealth.org/ for Unity Hospital
or for Rochester General Hospital http://www.rochestergeneral.org/rochester-general-health-system/careers/
These are all in Rochester, NY. Good luck. Let me know if I can be of any further help if you find something you are interested at one of these hospitals. I have lived here all my life pretty much.

Hi are they currently hiring?
I am an RN , lots of psych experience and have been a travel RN for some time now. Mostly because of a lack of jobs in the Buffalo, NY area.
Are you working in Rochester now?
Thank you so much. I am applying right now! I really appreciate your help.
