Just the question, today I received a letter stating I'd been given a conditional acceptance to the BScN program I've been working my butt off to get into (YAY!).
Something I'm curious about, as I'm taking the program to become an RN in favour of the program to become an RPN (lpn equivalent), is whether I'd still be able to work as an RPN? Even if this isn't likely to happen, I am obviously curious as to exactly where I can be employed for a lot of different reasons.
I'm sure this is common knowledge here, but an RPN is similar to an LPN, but works in Ontario, Canada, which is where I'm from, studying, and hope to be working.
Any answers are greatly appreciated!

What are you asking exactly? In order to work as an RPN you would have to graduate from an accredited RPN program and pass the the CPRNE. In order to be an RN you need your BSN.If you are an RN you cannot work as an RPN.
Even if what isn't likely to happen. Your question isn't very clear.
Thanks, I just wanted to know if an an individual with an RN education meets the requirements to work as an RPN.
You actually answered my question perfectly.
It was more or less a curiosity issue for me - as I was considering both careers prior to today.
Thanks a lot for answering my question.
Part of the reason is that RNs and RPNs are in different unions.
