Can a NYS CNA work in Connecticut without a Conn. Certificate?

Published

I'm applying for CNA positions and a lot I've see are near me or in Connecticut which is not too far rom me (as long as the pay is worth it of course). I am pretty sure our teacher said a New York State certificate is good almost in any state...? Does anyone know if I'm remembering correctly?

This is the link about CNA's in CT but it doesn't mention anything about if you've previously been issued a certification in another state. the only place to get a 100% accurate answer would be the State of CT DPH. Give them a call. The phone number is at the bottom of the page of the link I provided.

Thank you!! I didn't think of doing that but I will!
