Are LPNs expected or allowed to independantly develop care plans on LTC patients at your workplace

In Iowa they may develop a care plan but it must be cosigned by an R.N.

In Massachusetts we are allowed, no co sign needed. I write all the Medicaid care plans in my facility upon admission and annually thereafter. The staff nurses update them as needed. Quarterly, I check all medicaid care plans for accuracy. peace!
