Can you use an article for your AEB?
IE
Risk for Injury due to Hypocalcemia r/t Phototherapy AEB "name of article" (Wherein is described that evidence shows that this can happen)
I do not have any chemistry results on the patient.
Thanks,
Pat

Risk diagnoses should not have an AEB because there is not yet evidence that the problem exists (just elevated risk).
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I didn't know about this risk until I found this article, how should I denote this?
Thanks again!

You word your nursing diagnosis Risk for Injury R/T Phototherapy. Your goals and nursing interventions for this nursing diagnosis would then be focused on monitoring/assessing/preventing the signs and symptoms of hypocalcemia. You quote the article as a reference/rationale to backup your interventions. Is hypocalcemia the only complication of phototherapy? If there are other complications you also need to include nursing interventions for them under this diagnosis as well.
