Hi all,
I was just wondering what you guys have seen in terms of GE (General Education) and Science Core (Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology). Obviously, most or all colleges give the most weight on the Science Core but I was wondering if GE would also make a difference. I have a 4.0 in Science Core but a 2.9-3.00 in GE. Basically, I went to a Tier 1 university which screwed my GE GPA down to a 2.9 and then went to community college for my Science Core afterwards. The difference in teaching was huge.
Could my general education GPA really make a difference of being accepted or rejected? What have you guys seen at the nursing programs that you've checked or applied for? What are my chances of being accepted? Will any program even factor in that I came from a Tier 1 school or does the name not matter?
Sorry for the lot of questions. This is the stress and anxiety that come with being a Pre-nursing student.
