First off, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Second of all, tell us who you are! I can't wait to meet the others that will be attending the program in the spring!

For those of you who applied but don't know yet, GOOD LUCK!

Welcome aboard Spring 2010 :yeah:

Specializes in ER.

I'll start.

I'm Robin. I got my acceptance letter today! I am still completely in shock and thrilled! I was really surprised to get the letter so quickly! I didn't really expect anything until September. I am really pleased right now with the quality of the GPC program. Every time I have dealt with anyone from the school I have had prompt and polite responses. That makes me feel really hopeful about the program! I am finishing up my last pre-req this fall so luckily I will be able to focus on the program without worrying about any other classes. I am a little concerned about the commute though since it is about 1 hour and 45 minutes away I think. But at least this is the accelerated program so it is only for about a year and a half.

I can't wait to meet you all!

I have a question... Is GPC Bridge program back? Cause according to the website it has not restarted as yet.

I just wanted to update I declined my acceptance for another program.

Hey guys I was reading your posts and I have a question. I am at GPC too right now doing prereqs. I have heard horror stories from people that have 4.0s and awesome NET scores and still dont get in. Is this true???

no megan.. they must not be telling you the whole story of why they didnt get in

my overall gpa before changing majors to nursing was 1.82.. once i began taking my nursing pre reqs i got nothing lower than a B but mostly A's which brought my overall to 2.69.. my nursing pre req gpa was 3.73.. i scored an 83 on the net.. i took political science twice before i changed majors and focused.. but once i changed majors to nursing i took it one more time and received an A.

in my sciences i had like a 3.8... i was denied for the fall and accepted for the spring and i didnt even request for my application to be kept on file for the spring.. so NO it is not impossible to get into the program.. if you work hard and strive for excellence, give your school work all that you have.. you will not have a problem getting in.. if I could buckle down, work hard and get into the program with my horrible academic history.. surely you can.. im sure you transcripts are no where near as bad as mine were

Oh well that is a relief. I have been working my butt off since I started my prereqs and I am finally ready to apply for Fall 10. I will post if I get accepted or not but I have a 4.0 in everything and i came straight from highschool. My net scores arent great but im hoping my gpa will help offset it. thanks for the encouragement. I sure do hope it works out!!! Congrats on getting in!!!!!

I'm sure you won't have any problems getting in. I have a really high GPA but my net score wasn't all that great and I was accepted. Just make sure you do better than their minimum requirement and you'll be okay. Also, they accept more people in the fall so your chances of getting in are better. Don't let what other people say intimidate you. I did that and it made me so paranoid that I was afraid to apply. I even found that some of these people weren't telling the truth about their stats which is stupid to me. Just remember to stay positive! I'll be praying for you to get in:D

aww thanks that is very sweet! yeah maybe they have a poor legal record or something. who knows.. i will try and not let them scare me. I am going to apply to about 4 other schools just in case though. Congrats and Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!

i totally agree with CROD2011.. you absolutely cannot listen to other people.. to be perfectly honest, my net score would have been higher if i hadnt allowed the horror stories from others about the net infiltrate my mind.

people made it seem like the reading portion was just so impossible... so i had studied and practiced reading fast and fast comprehension so that i could try and answer as many questions as possible..when it was time to take the test i heard the instructor say that it is not about how many questions i answer, but it is about how many questions are answered correctly.. when i heard that i froze like "what did she say" and that made me nervous because i had listened so much to others

basically, just do you, just give your work a 100 percent of you.. dont even ask people how it was for them because as CROD said people will lie or they may be weak in an area that you are strong in.. you dont want to allow their fears to infiltrate you mind... i decided to remove all of the horror stories i have heard about the program from my mind. i am just going to go in there and role with the punches and have my own experience because everybody and their situations are different thus yielding different experiences.

I KNOW I TALK ALOT..LOL
