Call me crazy, but...ZOMG School!

Specializes in NICU.

I'm SO excited for school to start back up this fall! This semester I'm taking Pediatric Nursing, Maternity Nursing, and Advance Pharmacology. This will be the beginning of my second year in nursing school and I am obscenely excited to be re-immersed in the nursing student frame of mind. I'm not even dreading having a professor with the reputation for ridiculously hard tests or having even more medications to memorize. Does anyone else feel this way, or did I just lose my mind sometime during Med/Surg I last semester?

What classes are you guys taking this fall, anyways?

wow thats great, that you cant wait for school to start..i have been going through the summer, and will have a 3 week break before fall. Am i looking foward to it..? Absolutely NOT! lol

Yes, you've lost your mind, lol. Only kidding! I'll be starting nursing 3 next month and NO I'm not looking forward to it. Maybe because I haven't really had a break. After spring semester I had 2 weeks off then started micro and math. I finished micro last week and will finish math next week. I'm READY for a break! Anyway....good luck to you!

I'm just a big old school geek. I loved nursing school (even whan I was complaining about how busy I was), and I'm currently researching RN to BSN programs.

You're NOT crazy. Let's just call it "motivated"!!!

Best of luck and success to you!

For those of you who haven't had a break, I'm sorry. I know by the end of my second semester, I was dragging. It probably helps, in my case, that I'm working at a motel for the summer, so it will be nice to have some...intellectual stimulation again :p

Lol, donsterRN, I'll go with 'motivated'. Sounds nicer than 'stir crazy'.

Specializes in Nephrology, Oncology.

I'm starting my first year of nursing school this August! :D

What was your first year like??

Specializes in Junior Year of BSN.

I have Med Surg I, OB, Nursing Research, Community Health and an Independent Study course. I'm registered for Statistics but I am going to change that to the Spring with my final Advanced Literature course. This will be the first semester that I won't be taking 18 credits, yippie! You got to LOVE BSN programs and all these extra classes . Thank God for basically 4 months of summer vacation or I would be a walking zombie right now.

I am with you! I cannot wait for school to get back into session. I did not get a job for the summer because I had surgery that knocked me down for 2 weeks, my son has continued in full time daycare all summer (even though I'm home) and I haven't done anywhere close to the work I said that I was going to do on my house.

I've been studying ECG strips and fluid/electrolyte information just to stay mentally active! It beats watching t.v. all day!

It's funny, at the end of last semester all I wanted to do was lay by the pool at my gym. I've only done that once this summer! Now that it's summer, I can't wait to get back to school.

The mind works in mysterious ways!

I have 5 weeks until graduation! I just can't wait for this to be OVER!:yeah::lol2::nurse:

I love your attitude, I wish more students had your enthusiasm :yeah: I love the whole learning process myself. Life is too short to pursue something that is to painful to endure.

I can't wait for classes to start either!! I get to take the beginning nursing classes which are intro to nursing and dosage calc along with intro to pharm. I cannot wait to get started! Good luck to everyone in the coming semester!
