hi everyone

i m planning to move to ca from another country cos my guy is there. i m currently planning to take the nclex. what i wanna know is if i get licensed in another state is it easy to just transfer it to cali BON? cos i m applying under new mexico BON. cos my frens says its easier.

thanks

It is very easy to endorse to almost any other state in the US, after you have a license. California actually even permits a walk thru in the BRN office in Sacremento.

What type of visa will you be on?-

probly i'll be getting a conditional permanent residence. so that means i could do my ncelx through new mexico bon and just change em to cali...

thanks suzanne

What type of Visa specifically? Will you be able to work with that? Are you referring to a fiancee visa?

I've heard CA is actually easier than some of the other states. TX, I know, has greater language requirements than CA -- many of our immigrant nurses here in my state got their CA, then endorsed to TX, so as to not have to take an additional language test by the TX boards when applying for initial licensure as an immigrant.
