Hi, there!

Since your thread has not received any replies in a while, I've moved it over to the California Nurses forum so that it might accrue some responses. Good luck!

Hi, This week I sent in nursing app. for City and Southwestern. Next month I'll send one to Palomar. I really hope I get accepted by City first. I took all of my science prereqs there and loved all of my teachers, students, and the school though it is a little rundown. Everytime I'm there I have a great feeling. Last year I attended one of their nursing program orientation meetings and they said that the have the 2nd highest pass rate for NCLEX under SDSU for San Diego County:up:.

Good Luck to you and me!! Gambatte ne!! Iyi sanslar!!

I'm also waiting to hear from them. I've been waiting for 2 yrs. How long have you been on the waiting list?

ive been on the list for about a year now. got a letter that theyre accepting all the lvn stundents to take the transition class, but still not sure how many are going to actually be in the fall 08 nursing program. i hope im one of them though! are you waiting for the bridge prog as well?

I received my letter last week. I have to take the TEAS on Friday and I'm nervous! If I pass, I will most likely start in this Fall. They didn't say I was in if I did pass, but I'm within the number of people accepted each semester. Wish me luck!

Oh thats great! Good luck! I took my TEAS already. I dont think I'm gonna start this fall. I called and they said they usually accept 8-12 students. They need 70 students and theyre at 60 which means 10 LVNs are for sure in and possibly more. I'm #20 so I'm probably not gonna get in this sem! :o I' so bummed! I need about 8 student to drop for me to get in! **crosses fingers. Its a big number but you never knowww! Btw, you're waiting to get into the LVN-RN transition program right?

I'm doing the regular RN, not the LVN-RN.

How was the TEAS test. I'm so nervous about the science part. I have the study guide and the english/reading parts were easy, the math not so bad, but the physical science, it's stuff I took in high school and that was over 15yrs ago, LOL!

Hang in there. You never know, those eight people might just defer until next year.

I did not know that City's program had such a high pass rate for the NCLEX. Its almost been a year since I submitted my application for their program and so far I've only received my provisional acceptance letter. Knowing that I still have a couple years till I start the program (hopefully!), I was wondering what some of you did during the wait. I'm also curious as to when you guys submitted your applications and when you guys received your final acceptance letters. Any information will be greatly appreciated!:w00t:

During the wait I did the medical assisting prog at mesa college. going to be done in may with that. I was accepted to city jan. 07 and was #566 then i moved to #442 and in november i was moved up to #326. so moving 230 spots is pretty good in a year, i was scared when i saw the first number. Hopefully get another letter soon. I'm thinking fall of 09 tho. city just accepts in fall right? grossmont i haven't heard anything. well hope everything is going well for everybody else.

thanks craziechiq!

do you know which months they send out the continued interest letters? I was curious because I haven't received any yet.

Yes, I believe city only accepts students in the fall.

I applied in january, then i received the acceptance letter in february. I think the continuing letters are sent in april and november. or somewhere around there. Thats around the times I received mine.
