I got my letter today as well. I didn't get in :(. I feel pretty devastated. Those who got in how many points did you have? If I calculated correctly I had somewhere around 68-72 points, which ive been told that should be plenty to get in or atleast get into the alternate list. I am going to try to meet with the Dean of Nursing next week to go over my points, because I honestly believe there was a miscalculation of my points.

I got my letter today too and I'm #4 on the alternate list. I either had 70 or 72 points :)

Congratulations! Do you mind me asking you about your points? Best of luck to you!

Hi MusicEMT,

I feel the same way! I thought I had a decent chance of at least getting on the alternate list. I'm hoping to get some answers too. Is your meeting already scheduled with the Dean?

Congratulations @teamzepher! I just got my acceptance letter too!

@MusicEMT I think I had 82 or 84 points. I read on here that someone's points were miscalculated so it's a possibility

@MusicEMT Likewise! I had 70 points and I didn't get in. I'm also going to call in on Monday to see if there was a mistake. It seems like the applicant pool was really competitive this time. Keep your head up & don't lose hope though!

Congratulations to those who got in! Wishing you all the best :)

Hi there,

Anyone know how the alternate list works, in other words what is good number and what is bad? I am an alternate and not sure whether I am in a good spot or not! Also does anyone know how many alternates they have or how many tend to get in?

Thanks @lamienna and congratulations to you as well. To everyone else fingers crossed for you all. Like someone else mentioned, I remember reading about someone who initially didn't get accepted and then had an appointment with the dean to go over the points. During the meeting they found an error and subsequently received acceptance...totally worth making sure everything was calculated correctly! For what it's worth I applied with 85 points (potentially a couple points lower depending on how they scored my work experience). The good news is there are so many classes you can take ahead of time to help boost the score (pharm, lifecycles, stats, psych, N204, speech). Good luck!

I called them and they said the points cut off was around 73-74. A little higher this time :(

Super bummed because I was so close! Going to try again next semester.

Hey guys! I got into saddleback, santa ana, and cypress. Any suggestions on which school to go to? Santa Ana and Cypress are very close to home and saddleback is about 30 miles away.
