Sac State Fall 2013 Applicants

U.S.A. California

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am about to send in my application to CSU Sacramento for Fall 13 and was wondering if there are any other people in the same predicament. Would love love to hear your experiences as well.

Yep it sure is. Idk what the first is. But its probably due largely to the fact that the nursing program has its own building that's slightly off campus. Sac state is really dedicated to its nursing program. In fact, one of the things I'm excited about is not having to fight for parking. Since the nursing program has its own parking lot we shouldn't have that problem. Not to mention I am super exited about not having to deal with registration!!

Wow, good to know! Very happy to hear about decent parking.

I am going to crazy the next few months, waiting to find out what my next step is! I think it was better when I still had applications and such to take care of. It is nice to at least be able to get more information and talk about it on here though.

Yay to decent parking!!

eama4444, I can completely relate. My supplemental application form has been ready for almost a week now, but I have been holding on to it. I keep checking it daily, and hoping someone will come up with something that I haven't thought about. It's really crazy..I hope 6 months from now we will be fondly looking back at this time. This is truly a test on patience and surrender:) It definitely is nice to be able to talk about it here...There is definitely comfort in numbers.

Thanks wanisai, it is good to know I am not the only one.

Did you receive the follow up email today about the transcripts? Apparently we were not the only ones to get nervous about receiving the first email.

I got the email, and I was quite relieved too:)

The waiting does suck. But I am just happy that I am finally to this point.we will definately be looking back at this time, and hopeful we'll all be in the program. Right now we have the stress of getting in and next it will be the stress of gettin through the program. I want to turn in my app already but unfortunately I havnt had much time to work on it. I'm in my physiology class this semester, so with work and school I have been able to get around to it.

I'm with you Nurseinthemaking20..at one point it just didn't seem attainable at all, so I'm quite happy that we are were we are right now. How are you liking physiology? I loved loved my class...my professor was just amazing, and it was by far one of my best classes in my college career...enjoy..I think I might just send off my application tomorrow..I trust I have everything in place.

I was looking through threads from previous years and a few people were talking about upper level classes. As a transfer student, what upper level classes would I have to take once accepted? Any ideas?

Exactly. In my first and second years, I remember constantly thinking wow it's so competitive what if I don't get in. And also thinking, am I good enough or smart enough to do it. Well here I am in the last stretch and I'll find out in April or may if I really did do it. Congrats on getting that app complete! Now all you have to do is wait.

As far as physiology, I am a bit burnt out. The semester just started, but I spent the last 3 weeks of my break studying for the teas, so I really was not ready for the semester to start. But I will get through it.

I know that sac state requires all students to take 3 upper division courses in order to graduate. I have heard that some of the courses in the nursing curriculum will qualify, but I can't be positive. And if that is true, I'm not sure how many. Actually since I know how to maneuver the sac state website I'd be happy to do some research on that if you'd like. Are you transferring from a community college?

Hi everyone... Sac state is my #1 choice as well... Currently I have 72 points from gpa and teas. I can get 75 if I find an evaluator for my language for the extra points. So so nervous about it all. I'm from the bay area !

I am sorry physiology is not going so well for you Nurseinthemaking20. At least the TEAS is behind you now!

Hi rafaeia! I think everyone is nervous.

Good luck with your language points!

I am from the Bay Area too. East Bay.

You have no idea how happy I am to be done with the teas. I hated that stupid science section!

Rafaeia- try your hardest to get those language points! I would hate for you to not get in when you deserve those points!

That's very nice of you Nurseinthemaking20..thank you!! I am not too familiar with the system yet. As per physiology, just hang in there..the battle is almost over...Is that the only prereq you are taking?
