Online ACLS through NHCPS accepted in SD hopsitals?

U.S.A. California

Hello everyone. I am currently a nursing student in San Diego. I'm looking into getting my ACLS certification. I came across NHCPS.com and they offer ACLS certification online. Is this certification accepted at Sharp, Kaiser, Scripps and UCSD or do they all require AHA certification? Any suggestions on where I should get my ACLS and when? I'm interested in becoming an ER nurse in the future. Thank you! :)

No hospital I have worked for has accepted any card that is not from an AHA provider.

You could call the nursing education departments in those hospitals and ask, but I doubt they will accept it.

Save your money and pass on this online class. The hospitals I work for wouldn't accept them.

Only go to an ACLS class offered by an AHA-approved provider. Find them here: American Heart Association - Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

FYI, there are hybrid ACLS courses that are AHA approved, where you can complete some of the coursework online. However, you are always required to show up in person for the skills and megacode demonstrations. Any ACLS course that claims to be 100% online should trigger big red flags.

Thank you for your information! I knew it was too good to be true :)
