I believe this thread is mainly for Accelerated BSN. I don't know if there are other threads about the Generic Program.

Sorry, I don't know much about the generic program because I am going for the Accelerated BSN.

Im looking for some feedback from you on National Universitys nursing program, how is it? I just accepted to the LA school and would like some insight, please!
    thanks
I wish I could tell you how the nursing program is, but I haven't started yet. I have met a few ladies who have completed the program in San Diego and they all have positive things to say about the program.
I will say that I have been attending NU since Spring 2010 and really appreciate the one class a month (some classes are two months, but you're still only taking one class at a time) format. I feel focused on each individual subject and have a lot more time to devote to truly understanding vs. dividing my attention between several classes. I'm hoping this holds true for me throughout the nursing program as well.
    Good luck!

Unless something has changed since I attended the information session or it is different at non-San Diego campuses, Accelerated Post-Bachelor and Generic Entry students attend the same "program" for nursing. The only difference at NU between the Accelerated Post-Bachelor degree and the Generic Entry degree is that the Post-Bachelor student only has to complete the nursing program for the degree while a generic entry student will have to complete the nursing program and GE requirements (including some specific to the BSN) for the degree.

Does anyone know if you have a gpa lower than 2.75 if they will even consider you for the program?

I actually emailed the admissions counselor yesterday to see how my scores compared to the rest of the group who submitted applications. She left me a voicemail saying to call her back at around 4:00, but I didn't get to it until this morning and that's when she notified me I was accepted into the program.

    Hi Everyone,
I just found out about National University (I've heard of it before but never looked into it until now) and applied online. I was thinking about going to Everest for my LVN then doing the LVN-RN bridge until I found NU has a BSN RN program which I want instead.

How does the admissions work at the LA location? Is it impacted or on a point system like most colleges?

I am a student at CSULB majoring in Kinesiology so I have Anatomy, Physio, Nutrition, English, and Math all done.

Will this transfer? How long is the program? There isn't much info on the website.

    Thank you in advance!!
