Hello!

I've applied to the LVN to BSN cohort at National University in SD that begins in January 2013. Anyone else there apply, too? I'm currently waiting for an email so I can take the TEAS.

So currently im at 42.857 plus 20 for taking the classes once... which is 62.857 ....?

Yes. The Nursing Dept said applicants normally have a score in the mid 80s and higher get into the program.

I took the TEAS today, and they said there are 80 applicants in this application pool this year. That's twice as many as last year!Does anyone know what the minimum points they're looking for to get into the program after everything has been calculated? The exam appeared easy but it turned out I didn't do so well. Hoping the other areas will help!

Oh this is good news to me! The mis 80's thing is for the LVN to BSN right?.how many points do you have? Ive been getting 70's on the teas practice teats which is daunting..

What score did you get if you don't mind me asking. Have you calculated your total points without the essay? Is there spellcheck for the essay portion? I can't believe there are 80 applicants. I don't understand why they extended this cycle if they have so many applicants. Normally there are only 40-50 applicants. I'm super nervous now.

I don't really know how to calculate my pointsin the science part. A&P I with lab was waived for me and they calculate my score differently. I'm estimating that I have between 55-60 points.

Total? Minus the essay?

Without the TEAS points. I have about 79-84 points with the TEAS. I hope I can score higher on the TEAS Wednesday to boost my score

Sammi! I will see you wed for the TEAS test. How do you have that many points without the TEAS test? did you already do your essay and get a score from it?

That's possibly my score including the TEAS. I haven't done the essay. I guess we won't get our essay score unless you ask for it after they tell us if we get in the program. 80 applicants is a lot. I figure if I can't get in this cycle I'll apply to the Generic BSN program

If you're score 70s on the practice test you should be fine for the real test. I think the practice test is harder than the real test

I don't understand why the filing period was extended either. I got a 66% unfortunately. I didn't realize I could start studying earlier, and that I could have taken it earlier as well. Yes, the essay portion has spell check. And I don't know how to calculate my science classes either - in one of the classes I got a B+ in lecture and A- in lab. Good luck, guys!
