Hi everyone! I've sent in my application for Fall 2012 at LAHC, and already took my Teas 5 for another school but I haven't heard anything yet if I've cleared the first lottery. Two of my friends are in their first semester at LAHC and both said it took a long time to hear back regarding admission.

Anyone hear anything yet?

Does Cerritos do a point system? I thought they were a lottery school. Well, I haven't gotten a letter from them so I'm starting to think I'm out. :(

This is my first application cycle and I'm starting to think I won't get in anywhere this time around.

Nah, they go by lottery too. but my number (after lottery) was high. They picked the first 150 ppl (50 for fALL 12, 50 for Spring 13. 50 Alternates). They sent all mails already ( that was the lady told me). the rest (not accepted) will be sent out on Mid-May.

Where else did you apply? You're still waiting to hear from LAHC too right? Good luck :D

I'm waiting for LAHC, LACC, LA County, PCC, and GCC. I think I have the best chance at LA County since they don't do a lottery and my points are pretty good.

Okie, I spoke to T*** . She said theyre gonna meet this Firday to do the 2nd lottery. Right now theyre checking the official transcripts that we sent to Admission and Nursing (whether they're all the same or not) ?!?! I have no idea why they're doing that tho. :D

Talkin bout the budget cut as I asked how many spot are there for fall 2012. She said Noone knows until this Friday when Nursnig Director tell them. (?!?!).

After this Firday, they're gonna send email to us (either next Monday or Tuesday for the selection and rejection too)

Im done checking email like every 5 min.

I hope you'll get into LA COUNTY. it's a very good program i heard and easier to have a job at County later.

I totally forgot to submit my transcripts to the Admissions office! Looking at the application now, I see that it does say to submit separate sets. I guess I got confused cos in big bold letters it says to not submit transcripts via mail, but that was for the nursing dept. I can't believe I made a silly mistake like that.

I did the same thing with the transcripts. I forgot to send them to the school's admissions office. Do you think if they are in by Thursday they will keep me in the lottery?

I guess I am going to speak with ------ first thing in the morning in regards to this matter in see if it is possible before Thursday!

hey hnguyen509, i'm so grateful you spoke with ----- i have been checking my e-mail at least five times per day! now i can relax.

it's an easy mistake to make. definitely speak with her and see if you can get them in by thursday, maybe it won't matter. what a headache!

not all of the computers were working last week during the teas exam, so that could account for the delay.

it does not hurt to give it a try.You guys just Call and ask ------. We have nothing to lose rite? :) I just do not know why THEY HAVE TO CHECK AND COMPARE THE TRANSCRIPTS. THEY'RE ALL THE SAME , rite? Some schools do not even require us to send over the transcripts to the admission.

LoveER, do you know if they had to reschedule TEAS V for ppl then?

Do you know any ppl won 1st lottery, then did not get picked later?. That sucks coz i spent 25 dollars to send over my TEAS score to get nothing. :D

THAT WOULD BE GREAT IF ALL OF US GET ACCEPTED next week.

It does not say the specific date on when to submit the final transcripts to admissions and records. Correct? It would be so **** up if that was the case because I don't think it was specified as being part of the deadline . After all, I got accepted to take the TEAS! Don't you think they world have known and not invited?

Did you talk to Ms. T*** yet? What did she say? Where else did you apply? Good luck tho. :D
