Hello all, I have been following the gov race between Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown. I have been living outside of Cal for past 20 yrs, but still have parents/bros out there. I endorsed my LPN license and planned on moving back to the Sac area to care for my father who has Leukemia. Just wondered what your take is on having him in office, or if you ever heard him address the need for nurses and better staffing. I remember him as a sensible, logical man and hoped he would be instrumental in rebooting the skilled professional worker demand instead of lay offs and hiring freezes like Arnold did constantly. My fingers are very tightly crossed.

Agree with your hopes that he has a better outlook toward healthcare and healthcare workers. Now that he is the governor-elect, we will soon see how he fares in this area.

Thanks for the reply caliotter3. I'm surprised more Cali nurses haven't wondered about this also.
