I Need CC Nursing Program Help In OC/IE Areas!

U.S.A. California

Hi :)

I'm going to be taking all the pre-reqs for the ADN next semester at Cypress CC. I want to get into the nursing program at cypress college but they only accept applications in September and I will have all my pre reqs done at that time except for physiology, which I'll have to take in the spring. I really don't want to wait another year to start a nursing program, so my question is...Does anyone know of any community colleges that offer physiology in the summer so I can apply in September to Cypress Nursing, OR any community college in the area where anatomy isn't a pre-req for physiology?

Also, are there any community colleges that accept applications for their nursing program twice a year? Like anytime around June??

I'm open to Cerritos, GoldenWest, Mt. Sac, Citrus, Chaffey, OCC, LBCC, IVC, and Santa Ana.

Thank you!!!!

Hypothetically you can get in to some programs with a class in progress (for example Riverside Community College). In reality you won't get accepted without all the prerequisites completed. There are SO many people applying to RN programs that are already done it will be too much competition. I would say good luck if you want to try and get into a Spring program, but focus more on a good GPA so you can actually enter a program in the Fall. (We had like 800 applications at RCC!)

You can't apply to Cypress, Cerritos, Golden West, Saddleback or Santa Ana without prerequisites finished (microbiology, anatomy, physiology, English).

Cypress and Cerritos accept applications once a year; Golden West and Saddleback twice a year; Santa Ana accepts them year round. Cerritos and Golden West do lotteries; Santa Ana and Cypress are first come, first served (aka waiting list) although a perfect GPA might put you at the head of the line; and Saddleback does a hybrid with 75% of the class based on GPA and the rest a lottery.

All the info is listed on the school websites, which are found here: http://www.rn.ca.gov/schools/rnprograms.shtml
