    hi ccausey08,

    http://www.caloptima.org/documents/ltc_con_fac.pdf

hope this helps.. let me know if some of these facilities are hiring.

    Best wishes to u..

Question for you 4given24. Do you know if there is a listing for facilities catering to Northern California? A lot of the facilities on the CalOptima list are located in Southern California. I was hoping to start looking around the bay area first. Thanks!!

If anyone else has any suggestions/ideas, please feel free to share.

Graduated in May, passed NCLEX June 21st, still looking for jobs in SoCal. Sent in a few applications, but have not heard from anyone.

Found out about Orange Coast Memorial hiring new grads:
    https://www.healthcaresource.com/mem...&cJobId=378798

Does anyone know if it's ok to send in a job application twice? I updated my resume, and I think it sounds a lot better now. I want to resend in my application to a few places that I already applied to (including Orange Coast). Will that be OK, you think?

You guys, I went through an Employment Agency in Texas. I send in my applications during the first week of July, I took my NCLEX on July 5th and got results back on July 15th. They found a Hospital to interview for and was there last week on Friday July 17th for an interview. I got an offer today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys should just send in your resumes to agencies and let them give you a call if they have a possible opportunity. I'm so greatful to my Heavenly Father for this opportunity.

The agency is in Texas but they work with many medical facilities nation wide:
Martin Fletcher in Irving, Texas is the one that helped me out to find a job in CA. Don't send them a resume if you're not prepared to move. They will let you know what they have available and what state they have opportunites at.

I took a nap and remembered about all of you! Good luck girls! Remember to put your 1st year in and then you can swim freely in the water!

My job will be in northern California!

Hey Emma, thanks for the advice. I just typed in "Employement Agency California" and it sent me to ca.gov.

If anyone wants to check it out got to caljobs.ca.gov. They have a bunch of listings on their site, you just need to register.

How funny. I had submitted my resume on yahoo hot jobs when I first started looking for work and Martin Fletcher called me too. The only thing was that they said they mainly placed nurses with previous experience and not new grads. Emmanewgrad did you have any prior experience before getting your RN? CNA? LVN? Maybe that's what helped you get your job in the first place.

HEY HEY!!!!!!!!!!!! I have good and bad news girls and guys, I emailed the agency to thank my agent for assisting me in this process and asked him if I could reference his name in here. His reply was that unfortunatly there are no hospitals hiring at this time, freezing jobs everywhere that I have been the first hired in the last 7 months and probably the last in the next unforseen months!!!!!!!!!!!! It breaks my heart girls, it truly does. I know it's deficult but don't give up and keep sending your applications into hiring agencies in State or out. There is a website http://faxzero.com/ where you can fax 2 forms for free per day or 1.99 per page after that. I faxed a lot of apllications to this date (like > 60) since April/2009.

Like I mentioned, keep sending your cover letter and resume in and call them to verify they received your fax (just to show interest) also, don't narrow your opportunities at this time, be open to any possibility. get ACLS and PALS license ASAP. Also, look into obtaining your BSN ASAP as many jobs are prefferring BSN over ADN during hiring. I'm looking into online classes at UCLA (or other universities) to obtain my BSN, also will try to obtain Forensic Nursing license within this coming year as well as my ACLS and PALS. Too many things to do but excited for these new challenges that lay ahead of me.

May God Bless each and everyone of you and pray you find employment within the medical field.

    Love, Emma
