Please team, I am trying to apply for CA endorsement. I have read and downloaded the manual form application. However, I came across this link that allows online application. I am not sure of this site. https://www.breeze.ca.gov/datamart/mainMenu.do;jsessionid=JdMt7ZR_Tj-4VXH71nCqMpQkD27dJq6wRyiEpYmP.dca-fp-98-o-07

is anyone familiar with it or it's a scam?

Let me know what you think.

Thanks

Yes, use the website and submit online. You will have better visibility of your application by applying online vs by paper/mail. The BreEze website is run by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, and as a conduit, the California Board of Nursing. Endorsement applications take approximately 10-12 weeks to process once all required materials are submitted. It is impossible to get through to the Cali BON via phone so, utilize the contact emails and phone numbers for the California Department of Consumer Affairs. They oversee all of the State Boards and can be your interface to the Cali BON since they never answer their phones.

You qualify for expedited endorsement by the Cali Board of Nursing based on being a spouse of an active duty service member. Click on my profile and follow my thread on License by Endorsement for Military/Family. You should have you Cali license in less than a month. Let me know if you have more questions about the process.

So....when the processing times is listed as 10-12 weeks what exactly does that mean? 10-12 weeks total??? I assumed that since I submitted my app on Feb 9, I should be receiving my license somewhere April 22-May 6, which is 10-12 weeks from Feb 9.

However you'll notice on the website it'll say something like 'Now processing applications from from the weeks of...Feb 1-16', and I'm being told that that 'Now processing' date is just when they open your file/start processing it, and it takes 10-12 weeks from THEN to get the license!!! Which means 6 months total???

It doesn't take 10-12 weeks from when your batch starts to get processed based on the now processing timelines. It takes 10-12 weeks overall once you submit all of the required documentation. When your application date is the "now processing date", your license should post within a 2 week period...typically

Hi. was about to process my application by endorsement. They ask for a lot of documents. are all these sent separately or gathered to send at the same time? thanks.

I sent them all together by certified mail to ensure I reduced the chance that the Cali BON would lose one of my items.

Specializes in public health.

This is kinda irritating. A week after I got my temp license, BON sent me a letter saying that my transcripts need to show that I took psychology, social science, and oral communication classes. Do I just need to write them a letter of justification? Or do I need to have a faculty member write a justification letter on my behalf? I have several degrees and 1 month away from getting my DNP. It's kinda ridiculous to have to retake those college classes. Your recommendations?

Were those classes not part of your general education requirement for your first undergraduate degree?!? I took those three course years ago during my first run through university. A Letter from your university from the registrar's office might be helpful to get this resolved. Best of luck

Hi all,

I'm in NY with my BSN as a second degree looking to get endorsed in CA. Did anyone request transcripts from their schools before actually submitting the online application for endorsement? I plan to get the LiveScan done in CA and submit the online application while I'm there, I figured maybe I can request my transcripts a few days before so they can be received around the same time. Or should the transcripts come after?

Also, I understand we need transcripts from ALL schools attended, but does the actual "Request for transcript" form thats supposed to be submitted to the basic school of nursing also need to be submitted to the school where I received my first degree and took prereqs? It looks to me as though the form has instructions just for your nursing school. Thanks for any clarification and feedback based on your own experiences!

When you apply online they give you the email address to send electronic transcripts to. This is what I did when I applied recently. They did specify not to send transcripts until after you submit your application.

I got it today! 9 weeks total from application date. I was actually shocked and was expecting to be waiting another few weeks, but I was in the 'Now Processing Date' timeframe, so I just kept checking.

Checked 1st thing when I woke up this AM and it was there; my eyes were half closed so I had to log out and log back in several times to make sure it was real. :0) Thanks for the info!!!

I sent CA's official "Request for Transcript" form to ALL of my schools, as well as that school's specific transcript request form. And I went to a looooooot of schools. Sent it in for all of them, including my original 1st degree years ago in Fine Arts...
