Any CSUB Fall 2012 Hopefuls?

Hopefully it won't be too crazy. I plan to study a lot. I was curious to know what kind of technology are you guys going to use for nursing school? I tend to take notes on my really really old mac pro and it helps me a lot. I was thinking about buying an ipad because of the many apps related to nursing. I am not sure yet on what to buy.
I just wanted to ask what you guys think?

I use my iPad for notes and everything else... I only use paper if the professor gives a quiz or makes you hand in an assignment or something.

I have an iPad but I prefer my laptop for class bc I like the keyboard and being able to better type on power points.

Hi! I just received my acceptance letter yesterday. I am very nervous yet excited to start the program. Now I am just rushing to get everything done before the semester starts.

Has anyone else seen their schedule for the fall on MyCSUB?

Is anyone else taking Bio355 M,T,TH with ------, Nurs261 M, TH with -----------------, Nurs262 T,W with ------------?

Everyone should have the same classes (unless patho requirement is met) except NURS 262 bc they have to split us up into smaller clinical groups. I personally am registered for NURS 262-06. I'll see you in all the other classes though :)

Hey you guys I just got an email stating that we should all be on the waitlist for patho if not taken before. I am wondering if anyone knows if that means that there is a chance we will have to take this course later on if we are unable to get in the class. If so I wish that I enrolled myself in the class instead of waiting for the nursing department to do this for me. I already bought the book and was looking forward to taking this class. I've heard the best time to take it is this semester or the summer. Afterwards it gets a bit difficult. I am waitlisted 20 as of now. I hope like they said in past emails they have made arrangements and those arrangements mean that they will expand the class size. Idk y it is only open to 30 students. How far are you guys on the waitlist?

Gurjit, don't worry. They do this every year...it's something that's been worked out and I think they cut the class off at 30 on purpose to make room for the incoming nursing students. I wouldn't stress out about it.

well, last year this class was only offered to nursing students over the summer so I am not sure exactly how it's gonna be this year.

I suppose your right. 30 seats sounds crazy. My anatomy, microbiology, and physiology classes were 100+ students.
