Hi.. I hope somebody will help me here. I passed my nclex in california. Since I don't have SSN that time they didn't give me a license number. Only a letter that I passed the nclex. So what I did was I endorsed it to texas--to illinois. I am currently working here in Illinois and planning to move to california. I don't know where to start. What form ahould I submit? Is it licensure by examination or endorsement? Thanks in advance.

My advice is to contact the Calif BON. They will send you the information you need. California is not on any of the interstate contracts as far as I know. But, since you tested there, I don't see a problem with being licensed there.
Thanks :)

Hi, I am a RN in the Philippines and passed the CA NCLEX exam back in June 2009 but since i don't have a SNN they won't issue my license. I heard that your nclex exam is only valid for 8 years. is that true? I'm wondering if it's still possible to endorse it to NY? Also, do i need to apply for visa screen if a hospital in NY will hire me directly? I hope you guys can help me. Thanks in advance.

You can try to move NCLEX results to NY. You can't endorse as you have no license to endorse.
VSC is required if you are the main applicant regardless on being direct hire

There's another very good thread on your same concerns, you'll have to search for it, but it's all there.
