Hello everyone,
I took my California NCLEX-RN on October 31st 2017 (Halloween). I did the PVT after 48hours (GOOD PVT) , 2 weeks (GOOD PVT) , 4 weeks (GOOD PVT).
I used a valid CC, different expiration date, different CVC.
I called the CA-BRN after a full 30 days of waiting, and as usual like everyone experienced on the forum, I'm advised to "wait 1-2 more weeks."
I know from past experience that if you fail, the CPR usually comes lightning fast within a week or so, but I'm tired of waiting and wanted to see if anyone on the forum is experiencing the same waiting period when the processing time on the CA-BRN says 2-4 weeks.
CA-BRN NCLEX-RN Results wait time so far: 1 month, 4 days and counting.....
Some input would be great....
(I'll post my personal experience in an article if all ends well after all this waiting.)

I've been all over this site looking for random info about exam timeframes. From what I've read, you may be able to go to the BON site and search for your license. I know things differ from state to state but a few posts mentioned seeing their license info before being notified of their formal test results. It's worth a shot. Good Luck!
@Amoni, I been searching for my name on the CA-BRN website but no luck. I also reapplied for the exam by submitting a paper application for CA a year ago almost so that might be the hold up.
Only thing I can see on my CA Breeze account is a RN File #.

@ohitskev Pretty much in the same boat here. Took my NCLEX-RN on November 6th, called December 6th and was told that I needed to take into account the 3 holidays in November in which they were closed and to call again December 11th with no other information, whatsoever. I'll let you know how that goes. I'm beyond sick of the wait but the reviews on both Yelp and Google precede my expectation for anything to be done timely by the CA-BRN. Anyways, all we can do is hang in there and try to keep a positive mindset. Thank you for posting this and letting me know I'm not the only one.
@chihuahua_mom
I called on December 7, (1 month, 7 days after my test date).
The individual I spoke with responded saying "Since I waited for a full 5 weeks, he isn't suppose to tell me but YOU PASSED." (This was around 10am PST)
(8pm PST - My license posted on my Breeze account and the searchable CA Breeze)
As promised I'll be posting an article about my experience soon, if anyone has any questions, I'll be glad to answer it.

Hey ohitskev, was there any testing irregularity (power outage, Internet stopped working, etc.) that happened to you while you're taking your exam? Just making sure, since in my case the internet stopped working midway on my exam and had to wait for 2 hours just to have my exam rescheduled. I took it again the following day but it's going 3 weeks since I took my exam and still have not received my results. I know these are 3 indicators that I probably passed, 1st good pop up, 2nd it stopped at 75, and last one is it's going 3 weeks and I still haven't received a fail letter. I feel like the internet problem (testing irregularity) is the culprit on why I still have no exam results.
No irregularities. I think CA BRN is super slow.
I found out after 5 weeks of waiting, called them also, that I passed.
My license posted on CA BRN at 5 weeks, got my license/certificate at 6 weeks in the mail.

Congrats everyone!! I too was waiting forever for my results, it didn't help that I forgot to change my address, just move 4 months before I took my NCLEX. I too got the good pop up. Didn't do try the PVT trick till 2 1/2 months later coz I really thought I failed.
The reason why I thought I failed because question #82 which I know for sure I answered wrong, all of the questions that followed was multiple choice questions, and I felt that if wasn't hight level questions...I probably did 8-10 multiple choice questions after the #82 question that I know I answered wrong, then the computer stopped!!
I was so down, and was working so much to prepare to pay for my next NCLEX again maybe March but I didn't need to!!
Although, brings me to my question...what/where do we go from here? how do we get into hospitals? I've checked Kaiser nursing residency and it said "wait till January for instructions"
I want to work in a hospital so I can gain most of my clinical knowledge back, but if they won't hire new grads/Rn then where do we go??
if your in California like me, you can try a different city from where you are at.
i'm looking into a "compact state" where the California license can work like Arizona.
personally i'm willing to go anywhere for the 6months to 1 year of experience. after that it should be smooth sailing.
